Position Overview
Ithaca Energy is accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Technician – Main Generation, located offshore.
Responsibilities
* Safe and efficient maintenance & operation of large driven rotating equipment and associated utility systems. Including Diesel Engines, Thrusters and Power Generation Mechanical Drives.
* Act as local SME for these systems, supporting offshore leadership team and liaising with groups onshore with all activities associated with this equipment.
* Safe and efficient operation of a wide range of discrete packages and equipment including PMR work, mechanical corrective repairs, first line maintenance, inspection, fault finding, documentation reporting and log keeping duties on miscellaneous equipment.
* Proactive member of the Offshore Team, providing assistance to Maintenance Coordinator and platform Leadership Team to meet team goals and objectives as defined in the Business Plan, and improve reliability and task efficiency. Actively participates in Constituency Safety Meetings, Group Meetings, Risk Assessments, Toolbox Talks etc.
* Participates and leads activity planning and execution e.g., shutdown co-ordination / preparation & major equipment overhauls. Ensure any modifications, however minor, are dealt with using the Management of Change (MOC) process.
* Regularly makes use of Operating procedures (SOPs) for relevant systems. Reviews content, ensures accuracy, highlights discrepancies, and ensures Management of Change (MOC) procedures are followed where changes are required.
* Diagnostic and Remedial Work/Operations in the event of equipment failure in systems or equipment using relevant Engineering Drawings, Vendor Manuals, and other Data to assist with corrective action.
* Maintains accurate and comprehensive records including, but not limited to: event logs, maintenance records, override logs, chemical records, lube oil inventory.
* Complies with all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
* Member of the Installation’s Emergency Response Organisation; required to fulfil a role such as Emergency Response Team Member/Leader; Lifeboat Coxswain.
Qualifications & Experience
* Apprenticeship or recognised qualification (minimum S/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) and background in heavy industrial rotating equipment. Extensive mechanical operations and maintenance competency preferably gained in an offshore environment.
* Must have the ability to compile technical reports with associated drawings as required, pertaining to mechanical or electrical systems or operations.
* Proactive approach to HE&S initiatives.
* Demonstrate good teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a close, multi-discipline environment. Maintain positive and tactful relationships with others.
* Demonstrate proactive, flexible, and positive attitude. Share knowledge freely with others to ensure best practices.
