Machine Operative
We are seeking a Machine Operative to join our dynamic team on a temporary to permanent contract. The ideal candidate will have experience operating machinery or working in a manufacturing/production environment.
Note: due to the location of this role, there is no public transport that can get you to site for a 06:00am start or get you home for a 22:00 finish so transport is a must.
Key Responsibilities for a Production Operative:
* Operate and maintain a large format digital printer.
* Manage colour calibration and ensure high print quality.
* Support the finishing team with print jobs.
* Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
* Troubleshoot technical issues and perform routine machine maintenance.
Essential Skills and Experience for a Production Operative:
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Previous Machine Operative experience is essential for this role.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high print standards.
* Technically and mechanically inclined with problem-solving skills.
* Excellent time management and ability to multitask.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
* Proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems.
* Positive "Can Do" attitude and team player mindset.
* At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
* Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Job Type: Full-time, temporary to permanent after a successful training period.
Pay: £13.25 - £26.50 p/h + paid breaks increasing as you go through your training. Optional overtime available paid at enhanced rates.
Schedule:
* Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 22:00 rotating weekly.
