Key Account Manager
We are working with an expanding client based on the border of Herefordshire and Gloucestershire seeking an experienced and driven Account Manager on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with a passion for health and nutrition to pave a career in the food sector. You will be a client-focused individual with the ability to work autonomously managing the growth of key accounts whilst delivering outstanding customer service for a growing and exciting brand.
What you can expect:
1. Salary: £35,000 - 45,000 depending on experience
2. Working Hours: Monday - Friday, Office hours
3. Office based with hybrid flexibility
4. Company car / car allowance
What you will be doing:
1. Manage and stay up to date with key accounts, including routine visits, contacts, and interactions including both face-to-face and remote.
2. Understand the supply base, keeping up to date with market conditions.
3. Communicate with key corporate accounts to ensure issues are resolved efficiently while ensuring senior management are kept up to date.
4. Negotiate contracts with existing and new clients to maintain and grow accounts, increase sales, and improve profit margins.
5. Communicate across the business to maintain and ensure ongoing improvement performance.
6. Support internal departments, assisting to manage the stock and contracts requirements.
7. Conduct monthly business analysis to identify any lapsed or down trading accounts.
8. Be aware of sales targets, KPI's, and company budget.
9. Monthly reporting of KPI's and sales figures.
10. Effectively use the company sales systems to manage all interactions, sales quotes, agreements, and processes.
What we are looking for:
1. Candidates with a background in health, nutrition, or the food sector and international sales experience are encouraged to apply.
2. Strong background in Sales or Account Management experience is essential.
3. Project and time management skills, with the ability to work to deadlines.
4. Negotiation and influencing skills coupled with delivering a high level of customer service.
5. Commercially astute and with a proactive approach across business activities.
6. Strong computer skills across Microsoft and Sales Systems/CRM experience.
7. Applicants must hold a UK Driving license and be willing to travel UK wide - with 1-2 days per week off site/overnight.
