We are presenting an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chartered Surveyor to take the lead on a diverse portfolio, delivering both estate management and professional consultancy services across a nationally significant portfolio. The role will be based in their Birmingham office; however, due to the nature of the portfolio, the successful candidate will be required to travel. As an employer, our client also promotes flexible working arrangements.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
* Lead and manage a team of surveyors, overseeing the day-to-day operations of rural property portfolios.
* Deliver expert consultancy services on rural and land management matters.
* Ensure services are efficiently managed and tailored to meet the specific needs of each client.
* Conduct Red Book Valuations and Market Appraisals.
* Provide strategic guidance on property disposals.
* Inspire and motivate team members, promoting collaboration, accountability, and a productive working environment.
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, fostering trust, cooperation, and confidence.
* Define clear objectives, outline roles and responsibilities, and ensure team alignment.
* Set expectations, establish deadlines and goals, and provide ongoing feedback while proactively addressing any concerns or challenges.
* Recognise and reward strong performance, offer constructive feedback, and support professional development through training and growth opportunities.
* Assist in recruitment, onboarding, training, and continuous performance monitoring of team members.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them manage their portfolios effectively while achieving individual targets, contractual SLAs, and KPIs.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE SELECTED?
* We are looking for applicants who ideally have MRICS, AssocRICS or MARLA qualifications
* Possess extensive experience in land management.
* Previous experience of managing a team and strong leadership and proven line management skills are essential.
* Strong experience of dealing with clients, stakeholders and contractors alongside experience of working in a fast-paced environment where professionalism and flexibility is essential.
* Organised, with good time management skills a
* Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
* A Full Driving license is essential
