The Opportunity:
You are looking to join a vibrant and busy team based in British Columbia (Vancouver, Victoria, Langley, Kelowna, Kamloops, Terrace, Prince George). You have a ten plus years of progressive experience primarily in contaminated sites investigation and remediation, combined with some project management experience, but you also thrive on stretching your technical skills and working on multi-disciplinary projects. Experience on federal and provincial regulated contaminated sites. What you can expect to do here:
1. Lead project focused teams in delivery of a range of contaminated sites projects
2. Maintaining and developing client relationships
3. Conduct contaminated sites investigations and remediation programs
4. Manage clients’ projects including project scoping, budget control, planning, development of schedules and coordination of resources
5. Prepare proposals and high-quality deliverables
6. Manage environmental due diligence and compliance reviews
7. Understand and interpret the national and local market, highlighting prospects and stewarding them to opportunities and proposals
8. Mentor and coach employees with respect to their career growth and technical professional development
9. Drive a culture of health and safety and provide safety leadership
10. Work across other disciplines as requested
11. Other duties as required
What you'll bring to WSP:
1. A bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental/Civil/Biological/Geological Engineering, or related Engineering discipline
2. Registered as a PEng with EGBC
3. You have at least 10 years or more experience in Environmental Consulting
4. Prior experience with contaminated sites and/or mine closure is highly desired
5. You have a clean Driver’s Abstract, and are willing to travel
6. Proficient project management skills including budgeting and scheduling activities
7. Demonstrated experience in environmental consulting.
8. PMP certification would be an asset
9. Extensive field and site experience with strong health and safety focus
10. High level of verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
11. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
12. Good understanding and application of contaminated sites investigation methods and environmental legislation in British Columbia
Salary range (in British Columbia): $113,500 to $156,000
