What You’ll Be Doing
The position of Project Coordinator is based within the SPM Licence Programmes business unit, ultimately reporting to the Head of Development for Low Carbon Technology and LV Cables.
The Project Coordinator is responsible for delivering effective design and delivery of agreed outputs across several LV Service Termination centric programmes in ED2. Fully utilising customer management, commercial/financial control, and Project Management to secure and safely deliver projects to the satisfaction of both internal and external customers.
You will manage site construction aspects of the projects including safety and quality compliance. Working within Licence Programmes, you will facilitate and co-ordinate all aspects of the Projects assigned to you via the Project Leader and/or Senior Engineer. You will also assist in the design & delivery investment works in association with the Engineer/Project Manager.
Responsibilities
* Ensure designs delivered comply with Company and statutory requirements and update the business on required changes as they arise, working with the engineering team.
* Project management and financial control of connections projects (control, forecasting expenditure, income, variations, and scheme management).
* Ensure effective communications with customers providing regular updates in relation to project timescales and delivery.
* Respond appropriately to Customer Complaints, taking ownership and resolving as appropriate.
* Focus on continuous improvement through quality processes.
* Ensure that all projects are delivered within timescales and to costs.
* Co-ordination of field staff/material requirements etc.
* Required standard of safety, quality and environmental management met.
* Work towards a zero accident culture and lead by example.
* Deliver excellent customer service to all aspects of your operation and actively promote customer service standards within area of responsibility.
* Comply with site and workplace audits.
* Attendance at monthly team meetings.
* All appropriate safety documentation complied with.
* Zero accident rate achieved.
* All additional costs to projects are reclaimed to the customer where appropriate.
* Provide interface with contractors and internal businesses to assist in the delivery of projects.
* Provide interface with Design & Development to establish a robust programme of works.
What You’ll Bring
* Crafts qualification, apprenticeship, S/NVQ or equivalent.
* Previous experience in a relevant area such as the delivery of customer funded works or SPEN investment projects.
* Computer literacy – e.g. Microsoft Office suite.
* Working knowledge of company Health & Safety requirements and compliance.
* Working knowledge of Energy Networks policies, procedures and working practices.
* Knowledge of Network Connections pricing policy.
* Developed customer service skills.
* Knowledge of network and the network management systems.
* Contract management skills and general commercial & regulatory awareness.
* Developed negotiation, communication and people management skills.
* Ability to devise solutions to complex problems/challenges.
* Working knowledge of Energy Network IT systems.
* Will need to learn SAP to raise P.O.s, material requisitions and Teco schemes.
