Support the Cancer Data & Performance Manager in providing an ad-hoc information service to support internal and external stakeholders, including the preparation of responses to freedom of information requests, using data from the Somerset Cancer Register and other Trust information systems. Provide support for external data submissions, including Cancer Waiting Times, the Cancer Outcomes and Services Dataset and clinical audits. Conduct validation of external data submissions to ensure that information on Trust performance and cancer pathways is accurately reported. Support the provision of breach analysis information to inform patient RCA / Harm Analysis, pathway discussion and service improvement. Carry out regular data audits to ensure the completeness and accuracy of data recorded within the Somerset Cancer Register. To share in the responsibility of ensuring good practice in the use of the Trusts information systems to protect the high standard of data quality.
