Senior Urban Designer Job in Manchester, Greater Manchester
Our client is an award-winning multidiscipline consultancy with a Senior Urban Designer job available in its Manchester office. Role & Responsibilities
* Develop masterplans for projects of varying sizes, from concept through outline and reserved matters planning applications.
* Work on large-scale masterplan residential projects and other complex projects across various sectors.
* Create strategic documents, such as vision statements and design codes, to guide and protect project development.
* Collaborate with the Urbanism team and manage small teams while also working independently.
Required Skills & Experience
* Qualifications: Degree, Masters, or Diploma in Urban Design, Architecture, or a related field within the Built Environment.
* Prior experience in private practice, consultancy, or commercial housebuilding; detailed design/RMA experience preferred.
* Proficiency in CAD software; knowledge of Vectorworks and/or SketchUp is a plus.
* Familiarity with local authority guidelines and planning systems.
* Self-driven, detail-oriented, with strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
