A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Academy’s forward-thinking Coaching Department at Queens Park Rangers FC. We are now seeking a Game Model Coach or a Player Specifics Coach that can assist in providing Schoolboy players with expert coaching and technical support. The type of role will be determined by the profile of the successful candidate. Role Accountabilities & Key Duties 1 To lead on the coaching sessions for a Schoolboy age group. 2 To plan, prepare and evaluate coaching sessions in line with the Coaching methodology programme. 3 To communicate and plan with the Lead Phase Coaches and Player Specific Coaches to ensure players’ individual learning plans are met within the programme. 4 To enter all coaching sessions, fixtures, learning objectives, development reports, and other necessary work as required on the FIP within the required times scales. 5 To lead and manage an age group on match-days as necessary. 6 To provide a point of liaison for the relevant age group parents/guardians. 7 To be available for all internal in-service & CPD events. 8 To report to the Lead Phase Coaches and Methodology Manager (Academy) when appropriate. 9 To attend all coaching meetings and other Academy meetings as necessary. 10 To assist with the delivery of the Academy review process for Academy players & parents/guardians. 11 To report any welfare concerns on players to the Club’s Safeguarding Manager. 12 To report any injury concerns on players to Medical Staff. 13 To report any educational concerns on players to the Education Manager (Academy). 14 To be responsible for the kit & equipment of the relevant age group. 15 To develop a sound working knowledge of safeguarding children’s regulations, including legislation & governing body rules. 16 To undertake personal CPD as appropriate to meet the demands of the role. 17 Participate in the appraisal process. 18 Comply with all company policies/procedures. Adhere to all company regulations regarding policies, procedures, health, safety and security. 19 All other duties that may arise from time to time and fall within the scope of this position.
