Job Overview
The Integrated Community Equipment Loan Service (ICELS) is looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the LLR ICELS Clinical Team and provide dedicated support to enhance and improve the provision of equipment and support commissioning partners to deliver a high quality service, drive efficiencies and achieve value for money in equipment provision..
The position is full time permanent 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday.
The ICELS is a jointly funded service across Leicester City, Leicestershire County and Rutland Local Authorities and the NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups for Leicester City, West Leicestershire, East Leicestershire & Rutland. Leicester City Council is the host organisation for the service and manages the delivery of the service on behalf of all partner organisations.
The ICELS provides loan equipment to both adults and children and young people in the community, in education settings and in care settings.
The service is a key part of both health and social care strategies which are aimed at supporting those that need it to be independent at home/school, live at home with support, be treated in their own homes rather than in hospital settings, be able to be discharged from hospital quickly when medically fit, support hospital/care admission avoidance and support intensive community support/rehabilitation when needed.
Commissioners for the LLR ICELS have invested in clinical support for the service to help better manage demands, budgets, improve consistency of approach to equipment provision and improve practice in provision of equipment.
The position will be based at the Equipment Providers Depot in Glen Parva, however this service operates an office and home working approach. The post holder may need to travel to other health or social care sits across LLR.
