Our brand portfolio includes; Lee Kum Kee, Rummo Pasta, Lavazza, Canderel, Werthers, Toffifee, Baxters, Fray Bentos, Sacla, Snaffling Pig, Waterdrop and Bos Ice tea. Brand building is also at the heart of our business; we own the Epicure brand and have also developed a number of brands from concept, like Dinos, Epic and Urban Noodle.
We are looking to recruit a Commercial Manager and as part of the Management team this role will take full responsibility for a portfolio of brands within the business.
What is the Commercial Manager role and what do they do at Petty Wood?
• As a Comm Manager you will be responsible for the management of a portfolio of brands within the business
• The Comm Manager works closely with brand owners to develop and agree brand strategy & the key objectives
• The role reports into a Senior Commercial Manager but comes with considerable autonomy
• The role takes full P&L responsibility measured through reaching or exceeding your sales and profit budgets
• Developing and implementing initiatives to maximise sales and profit
• Ensure effective representation of brands through sales structure
• Overall responsibility for stock management of a brand
• Full A&P responsibility, ensuring all costs are agreed in advance with brand principal and reconciling monthly
• Managing the product range within the portfolio.
• Developing an annual brand plan and budget for each brand in the portfolio.
Who is the ideal candidate
* They will need some solid brand management & trade experience, with an understanding of marketing principles
* They should have evidence of ability to build successful relationships in business and strong communication skills
* They should have strong negotiation skills, coupled with commercial acumen and numeracy
* They will have solid experience in the retail industry backed by a diverse and in-depth experience across a range of disciplines such as market entry strategy, channel strategy, category management, promotion strategy, relationship management and communication strategy
