About the role
We're looking for a brave and curious individual to join our healthcare team as a Medicines Buyer, working closely with leading FMCG suppliers on strategic projects aimed at enhancing customer health.
As a Medicines Buyer, you'll collaborate with industry leaders to drive health initiatives, explore opportunities in a growing sector, and develop your career in a supportive environment. You will be responsible for
1. Building a customer focused, long term category strategy that delivers sustainable, profitable growth for the business & drives market out-performance.
2. Finding, developing and managing both branded & OB suppliers, to deliver our customer propositions and our joint business targets whilst ensuring that product quality is achieved & maintained.
3. Working with suppliers to build a strong Buy, Move, Sell plans that ensures our products are manufactured, moved & sold in the most efficient way possible.
4. Delivering a strong sell plans through promotions, features and events, driving footfall.
5. Forecasting and managing budgets effectively.
6. Delivering KPI targets. Always being cost conscious.
7. Ensuring all agreements are recorded in writing, reporting GSCOP complaints to Legal within 48 hours of receipt, and leading a culture of compliance within the team.
8. Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.
You will need
1. Commercial buying experience.
2. Experience of managing and delivering projects.
3. Range and trade planning.
4. Broad business and commercial knowledge working with teams across the business.
5. Budget Management & forecasting.
