The Consett Adult Intervention and Treatment Community Mental Health Team would like to invite applicants for the post of Structured Clinical Management Clinical Specialist.
We are looking for applicants who can join the establish leadership team and take a lead in the continued deliver of structure clinical management in the community. We welcome people to come and look around and meet the team based at Derwent Clinic. This post will particularly appeal to those who are passionate, enthusiastic, and committed to innovative and high quality service that are compassionate and relationally informed.

Main duties of the job
You will have experience of working within an inpatient and/or community service for adults with complex mental health needs and have or be working towards a relevant post qualifying qualification.
You are required to have a high level of clinical expertise in working with people who present with personality and relational based needs. You will have a positive attitude towards service users with personality and relational difficulties. You will have an awareness of the clinical difficulties that arise for individuals and teams and be able to lead by example. The post requires the highest standards of professional practice, and exceptional communication and relationship skills.
It also requires the ability to be responsive and rapidly integrate with multi-disciplinary teams working collaboratively and providing clear leadership when required to professionals working within and outside the Trust. The post may suit applicants wishing to apply their previous knowledge and expertise in this specialist area in a different context. This could include, developing staff knowledge and skills across multiple teams, facilitation of multi-agency decision making, or working in partnership with groups in settings external to the Trust and NHS.

Clinical Specialist requires post holder to be part of the clinical leadership team.
Care co-ordinate caseload.
Provide support and supervision within the team.
Provide SCM training.

Qualifications/Experience
Essential
1. Registration with relevant professional body. ( NMC, GMC, HCPC, Social Work-England)
2. For nursing professions - Recognised Practice Supervisor and /or Practice Assessor, clinical educator or equivalent
3. And Trained in providing clinical supervision
4. For other professions - evidence of training in clinical supervision of other staff and able to demonstrate competence in this area of practice in clinical supervision of other staff and/or students/ trainees.
5. All professions - Postgraduate diploma (or above) in a subject relevant to the area of practice or be willing to work towards and achieve within 2 years
6. Within the first year of being in post hold a recognised advanced clinical qualification or Masters level credits, Intermediate Systemic Family Therapy/Post Grad diploma in CBT/British Isles Dialectical Behaviour Therapy /NMP dysphagia, posture, autism assessment, rebound, social prescribing, sensory processing, Approved Mental Health Professional, Practice Educator (level 3 Independent Prescriber) * Note any other advanced qualification/masters credits not listed here as an example, must be clearly evidenced and listed as "advanced qualification or masters credits" - within the individuals application form
7. And have Equivalent clinical experience to that of a Post Grad Diploma/master's level such as working as a band 6 (or above) in relevant clinical area with significant experience (see below under experience), together with evidence of relevant CPD
8. Experience required - Substantial clinical experience of working in relevant specialist area in collaboration with service users, families and relevant others or transferable experience of similar settings and willing to gain knowledge within first 12 months.
9. Experience of assessing and managing risk (harm to self, others and safeguarding)
10. Substantial experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
11. Involvement in quality improvement activities
