Invictus Education Trust is looking to fill a vacancy and appoint a full time Finance Officer in its central finance team. The role will provide operational financial support including financial systems-based solutions in respect of the Trust’s schools. The post will be centrally located within the Trust’s finance team based at the Trust’s Headquarters at Kinver High School but you will be required to travel out during the week to your allocated Trust schools which are located in either the Borough of Dudley or South Staffordshire. You will be working under the direction of the Chief Finance Officer and working closing with the Trust's central Finance Team. Finance Duties - The main duties and responsibilities will be to provide technical financial advice, support and guidance to the Trust’s Headteachers along with two other centralised Finance Officers and this will be in line with the Trust’s financial policy and procedures framework. The tasks will range from supporting the Financial Administrator on site at each school, managing the financial transactions relating to the school activities via the Trust’s integrated financial information systems (such as PS Financials and uploading payments to the bank), and meeting with the Headteacher weekly. You should have experience of working in a financial environment, preferably in an educational setting.You should apply if you are a good communicator, have the ability to organise, plan and prioritise, can work as part of a team, have a good excel skills and are AAT qualified or actively studying towards AAT (Association of Accounting Technician) or equivalent qualification in Finance/Business.
