We are looking for an experienced programme manager, with a strong record of successfully managing complex research or innovation projects from start to finish, including developing bids and contracts, an understanding of good governance processes, excellent people skills and the ability to look at the big picture. The ideal candidate will have the capacity to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. In this role you will be managing projects which aim to better understand the health of the population through a primary care lens, including our work on the Research and Surveillance Centre (RSC). Established in 1957, the RSC is an active research and surveillance unit that collects and monitors data from over 2000 practices across England and Wales, and it played a key role in monitoring the spread of Covid-19 in the community. You will also work across projects to support the development of research skills in primary care and the dissemination of key findings to help shape policy and practice.
