About the opportunity: An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the Parks and Countryside Service to deliver a capital project for replacement and improvement of the access infrastructure, including installation of new boardwalks, at Riverside Nature Reserve and Parsonage Water Meadows. This is a new post (3 year fixed term) to deliver the project management, manage the project budget and develop a new long-term management and spending plan for the Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG). The delivery of this project is essential to the Councils sustainability agenda to protect the Thames Basin Heaths and is fundamental to the delivery of a new local plan and development in the Borough of Guildford. About you: You should have a comprehensive background in landscape management, preferably in a Local Authority environment with a creative edge and ability to resolve problems and come up with effective solutions. You will be self motivated and have a high level of initiative. You will have excellent financial, written, presentation and communication skills to work with different audiences. You are a skilled project manager who can work collaboratively across different disciplines and with different stakeholders to manage and implement landscape projects. You will have an enthusiasm for the natural environment and promoting access to the countryside balanced with conserving biodiversity.
