The Harrogate Crisis Resolution and Intensive Home Treatment Team are seeking a full part-time band 5 practitioner. The post holder will be part of a resilient, welcoming, and professional team who work collaboratively with internal and external partners to meet the needs of those experiencing a crisis in their mental health.
Applicants should already hold NMC registration and have successfully completed their preceptorship programme. Please note: Newly qualified Nurses or those due to qualify will be recruited via a separate process.
Main Duties of the Job
The team takes a recovery-oriented, formulation-driven approach which values shared decision-making.
The team will be based at The Orchards Ripon and operates over 24 hours, 7 days a week with a 12-hour shift working pattern.
The team can support newly qualified clinicians through the preceptorship programme.
Successful applicants will be members of a multi-disciplinary team with ample opportunity to develop and enhance existing clinical skills. You will receive regular supervision and there are good training opportunities.
As a member of the team, you will provide a service to individuals who present with a mental health crisis requiring a period of crisis intervention as an alternative to admission. The team is also responsible for gatekeeping admissions to the acute admission ward and supporting bed management.

Qualifications
* Current professional registration with Nursing & Midwifery Council RNMH or RNLD
* To be a recognised practice assessor/mentor or work towards this in an agreed timescale
* Trained Clinical Supervisor (within 6-month probationary period)
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
* Communicate complex and sensitive information effectively to patients, carers/families, and all members of the multidisciplinary team
* Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Undertake lead professional/care coordinator responsibilities (following probationary period)
* Manage own time and prioritise effectively
* Co-ordinate and prioritise the activities of the ward/community team
* Motivate and work positively and assertively with other team members
* Provide (following probationary period) effective teaching, training, and clinical supervision
* Use approved techniques in physical intervention (following training)
* Demonstrate recovery-focused practice

Salary: £29,970 to £36,483 a year (pro rata) per annum.
