About the Role:
We are seeking an Oligonucleotide Development Chemistry Team Leader with expertise to manage a group of Scientists. As a Leader within our Enzyme and Oligonucleotide Development group, you will play a critical role in driving projects that contribute to groundbreaking advancements in healthcare and biotechnological solutions.
You will be part of a team working within the Medicine, Development & Supply department, where we are dedicated to advancing research and development in the fields of biocatalysis and oligonucleotide chemistry.
In this role you will...
* Lead and manage a team of scientists specializing in oligonucleotide development.
* Oversee the design, synthesis, and optimization of oligonucleotides, ensuring high-quality and efficient project execution.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align objectives and resources, fostering an environment of innovation and excellence.
* Mentor and motivate team members, encouraging professional growth and maintaining a strong focus on achieving departmental goals.
* Utilize your expertise in solid phase organic synthesis to develop novel strategies and improve existing methodologies in oligonucleotide manufacturing.
* Stay abreast of emerging trends and scientific advancements in the field to integrate knowledge into ongoing and future projects.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
* PhD in Chemistry, or equivalent experience in an industry-related field.
* Proven experience in oligonucleotide development with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
* Previous experience of supervising/managing & developing a team of Scientists.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
* Preferable experience in solid phase organic synthesis.
* Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team.
