Network & Information Systems Engineer
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (38.75 hours per week)
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands - (Hybrid working: 3 days office, 2 from home)
Salary: £55,000 per annum

In this role, your expertise will help us maintain and enhance our technology infrastructure, ensuring we continue to provide exceptional care and support to our branch network, and enable our colleagues to keep delivering the vital work to our clients all day, every day.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Service Delivery: Develop and support Dignity's network and information systems, ensuring efficient and reliable operation.
2. Change Management: Adhere to change control procedures to minimise business disruption.
3. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems and processes.
4. Incident Resolution: Provide high-quality, responsive resolutions to IT incidents, ensuring rapid diagnosis and corrective actions.
5. Security Compliance: Apply updates and security patches, ensuring compliance with ISO27001 and PCI standards.
6. User Satisfaction: Co-operate with the IT Helpdesk to maintain excellent levels of user satisfaction.
7. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the robustness, reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness of our IT infrastructure.
8. Communication: Clearly communicate with peers, employees, suppliers, customers, and third parties regarding issues and progress.
What we're seeking from an individual in this role:
1. Proven experience in network and systems engineering, including site-to-site connections, data centre management, and Microsoft Server technologies.
2. Proficiency in Azure, AWS, OCI, and core security technologies such as Palo Alto and McAfee Firewalls.
3. Expertise in Microsoft Server technologies, M365, PowerShell, KQL, YAML, and VPN technologies.
4. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with a methodical approach to resolving issues.
5. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
6. Ability to manage and collaborate with third-party suppliers, perform well under pressure, and adapt to changing business requirements.
