Position Title:Commercial Finance Manager - Industrial

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team, as Commercial Finance Manager - Industrial.

We’re looking for a motivated and forward-thinking individual to take ownership of commercial financial reporting, analysis, and strategy within our dynamic team. With a sharp eye for detail, you’ll challenge the status quo, ensuring reporting aligns with strategic goals and delivers real value. You’ll present data in a compelling way, enabling better decision-making, and bring expertise in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting, including working with systems like SAP. Staying ahead of best practices and industry innovations, you’ll help us maintain our position at the forefront of financial analysis, driving profitability and supporting leaders across finance, sales, and operations. This role reports to the Director, FP&A SAS.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Ensure Commercial reporting is aligned to the overall strategy of the Business Unit and enables the business to drive improved profitability.
* Presenting and reporting on Commercial performance.
* Challenge and improve reporting outputs to ensure they remain relevant and valuable to the business.
* Support the Industrial Sales Leaders.
* Collaborate with the Operations Finance team to provide financial modelling for new and existing business opportunities.
* Ensure sales budgets, forecasts, and functional costs are accurately completed in SAP within agreed timelines.
* Create clear and impactful presentations that effectively communicate key insights into commercial performance, enabling informed decision making.
* Report, explain and challenge the margin analysis for the Commercial business
* Act as the key Finance contact for Commercial bonus plans, including modelling schemes, setting targets, and ensuring accurate payments to motivate and engage the salesforce.
* You’ll work collaboratively with the Commercial Finance team and key stakeholders, leveraging collective talents to drive improvements and ensure impactful communication across the business.
* To keep abreast of best practice and external developments in financial analysis and ensure this learning is shared with the wider business.
* Provide ownership of the Group forecasting system and own the commercial forecasting and budget.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Education & Skillsets:
* Extensive previous commercial analysis experience ideally in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
* Experience of project management.
* Experience of SAP.
* Experience of dealing directly with senior Executives and presenting complicated issues to senior executives and senior management.
* Experience gained within large / complex organisation(s) and experience of understanding complex financial structures within a large organisation.
* Advanced Microsoft office skills to enable the preparation of communications, reports, training materials and presentations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills particularly with the ability to communicate effectively with people across the business is essential. This will include colleagues at all levels up to and including Executive and Board level management.
* Must be flexible and be able to adapt to differing situations.
* Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative with excellent prioritization skills.
