We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Nurse to join our friendly In-Patient Unit team in Thurrock to gain knowledge and experience within Palliative Care.
This opportunity is to work either rotational long days and night shifts.
About the role
As a Registered Nurse in our In-Patient Unit at Thurrock, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of excellent, high-quality care, coordinating with other healthcare professionals, assisting with patient admissions and discharges, and adhering to nursing standards and best practices. You should have a current nursing registration and previous experience in a healthcare setting. Key traits for success in this role are excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Salary: £29,997 to £35,841 per year
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full Time - working 38.25 hours per week, Rotational Shifts Monday to Sunday
Location: In-Patient Unit - Thurrock
Other responsibilities include:
* Providing excellent high-quality patient care
* Coordinating with doctors and other healthcare professionals
* Managing patient admissions and discharges
* Caring for patients at end of life
* Maintaining nursing documentation and patient records (SystmOne)
* Participating in staff meetings and continuous education opportunities
About you:
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse
* Proven experience within a healthcare setting
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work well in a team
* An understanding and empathetic approach to patient care
