Danny Sullivan Group are searching for their next Senior SHEQ Advisor to work on a project based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The ideal candidate for this role would be responsible for assisting the growth and management of the business' Safety, Health, Environment & Quality systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with Operational Overhead line teams to deliver high-quality client projects.
2. Monitor contractors' SHEQ performance to ensure compliance with health, safety, and company standards.
3. Assist in developing and implementing SHEQ Management Systems across the business.
4. Maintain visibility and engagement with supported business operations.
5. Conduct effective SHEQ compliance audits and track corrective actions to completion.
6. Support SHEQ compliance monitoring across the business and identify trends, concerns, and improvement opportunities.
7. Assist with company inductions for new operatives and staff.
8. Contribute to the creation and distribution of SHEQ communications.
9. Participate in worker consultations, project reviews, and SHEQ engagements.
10. Regularly report on activities, performance, and improvement initiatives.
11. Provide support for external accreditations, client audits, and regional review meetings.
12. Assist with regional accident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
13. Lead or assist in significant accident and incident investigations.
14. Notify management of accidents, incidents, and dangerous occurrences.
15. Empowered to halt operations posing significant health, safety, or environmental risks.
16. Support Regional Management to achieve high SHEQ performance standards.
17. Recommend solutions for significant non-conformances or adverse findings from audits and investigations.
Experience/Qualifications:
1. Knowledge and application of SHEQ management principles and best practice within an energy service operational arena with a focus on transmission / distribution Overhead Line projects.
2. NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent as a minimum.
3. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
4. Grad Member/Working towards Chartered Member of IOSH.
5. Member of IEMA.
6. Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel.
