Income Manager Role at Forest Research (FR)
Join Forest Research (FR) as an Income Manager, leading financial management for research funding and operational delivery of Accounts Receivable.
The Finance Team provides strategic financial planning, management reporting, risk management, systems accounting, transaction processing, and procurement advice to support FR's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead financial management of research project funding, including review of contracts within the UK and internationally.
2. Oversee the operational delivery of the Accounts Receivable function.
3. Advise the Business Development team on new funding opportunities, ensuring proper costing, contractual support, and risk mitigation.
4. Collaborate with the Finance Business Partner to set up and monitor project budgets, providing training and guidance.
5. Ensure income is accurately accounted for, allocated, and invoiced as per contractual agreements.
6. Manage and monitor funding agreements and income commitments, ensuring contracts are received and stored properly.
7. Lead, train, and develop the team to support career progression.
8. Assist in the preparation of financial accounts and audit processes.
9. Support business development efforts by monitoring the new business pipeline.
Location and Working Arrangements:
The role can be based at Northern Research Station, Roslin, Midlothian, EH25 9SY, or Alice Holt, Farnham, Surrey, GU10 4LH. It offers blended working options, combining remote and on-site work. Please note, this role is UK-based only.
