The role will be based at the campus set in beautiful countryside close to the Shropshire market town of Newport. The University estate has an area of 143 hectares, with approximately c30,000 sqm of non-residential buildings plus approximately 800 beds in student halls (c17,700 sqm). Work will be varied with a range of modern teaching and research facilities, some beautiful historic buildings, student services and sports facilities, as well as some high-tech engineering facilities. The campus is surrounded by the University’s 600-hectare Farm but is only 15 minutes easy commute from Telford, 30 minutes from Shrewsbury or Stafford and 40 minutes from Stoke on Trent or Wolverhampton.
The University is looking for motivated individuals who work well in a team, have pride in their work and will enjoy the challenge of providing maintenance and minor works services in a rich and varied estate.
