Hours: 12 hours per week - Thursday and Friday mornings
We are looking for an enthusiastic ANP to join our friendly, forward-looking team to complement our existing clinical staff of 5 GP partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 1 ANP, 2 practice nurses, and 2 HCAs. As an ANP you will enable us to extend the capacity and services we currently offer to our patients.
Main duties of the job
You will ideally have recent experience within a Primary Care setting (although not essential), be adaptable, highly motivated and relish a challenge. You will be registered with the NMC, be an independent/supplementary nurse prescriber and hold an MSC/Post graduate diploma or equivalent. You will hold advanced assessment skills which include history taking, clinical examinations, diagnosis, and initiating programmes of care.

Job Summary:
The Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) will act autonomously within their professional scope of practice providing care for patients presenting with minor and acute illness and injury, working with the GPs to support same-day demand and acute care needs of the patients. This will be via face-to-face, video, telephone, and e-consultations.
The postholder will operate within their own sphere of competence and agreed acceptable limits of practice to provide expert professional clinical advice to patients, carers, and colleagues, ensuring clinical safety and excellence.
The Advanced Nurse Practitioner will need to prioritise and triage the needs of patients accordingly, making any necessary referrals for investigations in the appropriate manner.
The postholder will use skills, knowledge, and competencies as a qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner in order to be responsible and accountable for managing patient caseloads for treatments, referral, admission, and discharging patients as appropriate.
