About the role
The role
As a Graduate Teacher you will be responsible for covering classes in a secondary school. You will be tasked with leading lessons of approximately 30 pupils in the absence of the class teacher. You will be willing to cover classes across the full range of secondary school subjects. You are not expected to be a subject specialist in each area they cover. The lesson will always be planned, it is your job to facilitate the classes learning, manage classroom behaviour, record accurate registers, and provide a handover to the absent teacher. Successful Cover Teachers are adaptable, flexible, motivated, and organised, they have a passion for education and supporting young people.
This role provides a great opportunity to any graduate that seeks to gain experience of working within a Secondary school prior to applying to Initial Teacher Training. Although experience of working in a Secondary School is desirable this is not essential, Vision offers a comprehensive training programmes to new Cover Supervisors. We will be holding our next training day in Lincoln on the 18th April.

Requirements
To be considered for the position of Graduate Teacher, you will:
1. Have/be willing to pay for an Enhanced DBS on the update service.
2. Participate and complete the ongoing CPD training.
