The Role:
We are currently looking for a Process Engineer to join our team of engineers developing and designing products for the water treatment & renewables sectors. This role will primarily involve developing existing products for these sectors along with the identification and development of new products.
The role will involve some travel, the majority of which will be in the UK and Ireland.
Duties:
* Development of existing products & new products for the AD, water treatment & renewables sectors.
* Production of design calculations and various design documents including P&IDs for the sizing of various process technologies.
* Business development related to the Colloide technologies.
* Preparation of Tender Documents.
* Specification and selection of equipment.
* Conducting lab & pilot scale trials.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* An awareness of the environmental impact of design ideas.
* Experience with Microsoft Suite including Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint and Solidworks.
* Willing to travel outside of NI to site visits.
Our ideal candidate will have:
Essential:
* Minimum 2.2 Honours degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, or a related product design or engineering subject.
* Ability to be flexible and adaptable as the role will involve travel, the majority of which will be in the UK and Ireland.
* A full current driving licence and access to a car.
* Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proficient in MS Applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, Project.
* 2 years post qualification experience in a relevant industry.
Desirable:
* Experience of design and operation of digestate treatment plants.
* Working Knowledge of Water & Wastewater treatment systems.
* Experience using ASPEN.
* It is useful if your first degree or Masters is accredited by a relevant professional body, such as the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) as it can help you to achieve the status of chartered engineer at a later date.
* Previous experience of fitting or commissioning equipment.
