In this role, Senior Control Systems Engineers will play a vital role in designing, developing, and integrating systems for various industries including Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Power & Infrastructure. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from green field systems to upgrades and modifications of legacy systems. Engineers are involved in the full life cycle of projects and will work collaboratively to design, build, test, and implement industrial control systems, encompassing both hardware and software components. You'll utilise Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) software, and Industrial Network solutions. This role involves configuring PC software packages for user interface and data processing functions, integrating software packages using standard protocols, and developing custom software/scripts. Responsibilities: Develop and work on complex integrated systems, including schematic design, PLC product selection and configuration, electrical design, and interfacing with third-party systems. Key involvement in resolving hardware and software challenges. Support with design and configuration of cyber-secure infrastructure and communications. Evaluate systems and provide recommendations for improvements and solutions. Engage in customer interactions to understand their needs, communicate requirements, and establish project timelines. Participate in the installation and commissioning of solutions at customer sites. Collaborate with a team to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects. The position may require travel to client sites throughout the UK from time to time Requirements: Five or more years experience in control system project delivery. Understanding of electrical system drawings and basic electrical knowledge. Proficiency in PLC, SCADA, HMI, and DCS systems, specifically Siemens and Rockwell products. Familiarity with IT/OT Technologies and development methodologies. Experience with Windows Operating System configuration and network management. Relevant degree in Electrical & Electronic, Electrical or Software Engineering. Completion of a structured project delivery lifecycle. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Excellent team-working abilities in a project environment. Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a focus on delivering quality service within time and budget constraints.
