We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Teacher of English to join our team, with additional leadership responsibility for whole-school literacy, including reading and SEND support. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher with a passion for literacy and inclusion, who is eager to make a significant impact on students across the school.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
* Teach high-quality and engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
* Lead and develop whole-school literacy strategies, ensuring a consistent approach to literacy across all subjects.
* Work closely with the SEND team to ensure literacy interventions effectively support students with additional needs.
* Monitor and evaluate literacy progress, using data to inform targeted interventions and drive improvement.
* Provide training and support for staff, equipping them with strategies to embed literacy in their teaching.
