Job Description
As a Principal Safety Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in leading assurance activities to ensure vehicle safety.
Your responsibilities include:
1. Conducting risk assessments to identify hazards in processes, systems, or equipment.
2. Ensuring designs, systems, and operations comply with safety regulations.
3. Developing and updating safety documentation such as risk registers and safety cases.
4. Collaborating with design and engineering teams to incorporate safety principles.
5. Leading investigations into safety incidents.
6. Participating in project and safety review meetings.
This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, based in Bristol, Walsall, or Plymouth.
Experience required:
* Proven safety engineering experience.
* Familiarity with safety management systems and risk analysis tools.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience in developing safety cases.
Qualifications:
* Degree in Safety, Systems Engineering, or related fields.
* Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are advantageous.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance. Some roles are subject to security and Trade Control restrictions, which may affect eligibility based on nationality or citizenship. More information is available at UK Security Vetting.
