Support winning new business opportunities via structured procurement processes.
Having a full understanding of standard end-to-end procurement processes – from registering initial interest, coordinating internal writing content, and providing supporting documentation and evidence as part of our submission.
This role extends to a range of related commercial activities such as sector, trend and competitor analysis, and supporting the development of strategies to win business for a variety of goods and services. You will work closely with operational and technical staff as well as external organisations.
Responsibilities include:
1. Setting the standards and crafting accurate, high-quality, professional, impactful and successful bid responses
2. Contribute to the development of written proposals and presentations
3. Draft responses, write content, summarise, shorten, enhance and collate submission evidence
4. Building upon existing and develop new content for bid submissions
5. Structuring and writing proposal content
6. Develop case studies in the standard format
7. Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), on developing bid responses, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client requirements
8. Liaison with internal colleagues for material
9. Ensure consistency of style and quality across responses
10. Source relevant tender opportunities, monitoring relevant portals
11. Maintaining the company profile on relevant portals
12. Making tender submissions within deadlines, assisting in the quality of and timely completion of proposal submissions
13. Maintaining records in our EMS and AI systems
14. Reviewing historical responses to support the continuous improvement of the content library
15. Analysing previous results and scores achieved, providing continuous improvement input
16. Other activities as required by management from time to time
You will work closely with a variety of Operational, Commercial and Technical staff as well as a number of external organisations so excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
You will need to be:
1. Be able to work in a team

4. Articulate and a good communicator (in person and written)
5. Proficient in IT Skills, to include the Microsoft Office suite and Teams
Experience and Skills Requirements
Experience in a procurement role is desirable but not essential. We anticipate the successful candidate will hold a degree in English, Creative or Business Writing or similar.

Hours of Work
37.5 hours per week - Mon to Fri: between 09.00 to 17.00 [with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break per day].

We will provide a Laptop.
Location
The role is based at Venter House, Houghton Le Spring, some degree of hybrid working is available.
Contract
This is a Full-Time Permanent position.
Training and Development
The role will involve career progression leading to professional qualification; APMP Foundation Certificate.
Negotiable and depending on experience.
