Aircraft Wash Team Operator RAF Brize Norton Carterton, Oxfordshire, OX18 3LX Permanent 37 Hours per week Wednesday – Sunday – 8:00 – 17:00 Salary £32,403 per annum (This includes your Shift Allowance) Here at Serco, we are looking to recruit an Aircraft Wash Operator to join our highly regarded Aircraft Wash Team at RAF Brize Norton. The successful candidate will report to the Aircraft Wash Team Supervisor and will be employed on the external washing of the stations Atlas A400M, Boeing C17 Globemaster & A330 Voyager aircraft as well as the stations support equipment and vehicles. Plus, a variety of visiting UK Military and NATO aircraft and equipment. At RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, Serco has been providing multi-activity and engineering support since 1997. Serco proudly support the RAF and MoD, supplying around 20 different services onsite, from aircraft maintenance, to fuelling and ground control services. RAF Brize Norton is the largest operating base within the Royal Air Force, providing air transport and air-to-air refuelling to the RAF fleet, you will contribute enormously to the vital work carried out here. You’ll also be part of the wider team, with 5,800 service personnel, 1,200 contractors and 300 civil servants on site. Interviews will take place in January 2025. Main accountabilities: Completing the tasks allocated, by their Supervisor/Deputy Supervisor, in accordance with the Customer’s and the Company’s standards, practices, procedures and instructions. Always maintain husbandry standards. Complete all necessary documentation and maintenance forms accurately and in a legible script. Avoid the creation of FOD hazards. Ensure the correct Serco issued PPE for the allocated task is worn at all times and that all PPE is serviceable and fit for purpose. Maintain the work area and rest facilities in a neat and tidy condition. Report all building/services defects within their work area to their management chain. The submission, where applicable, of reports (In-Forms, DASORS & near miss etc.). What you need to do the job: Full UK Driving Licence with less than 6 penalty points. Colour Perception level of (CP2). Confident with working at height. Be able to Operate Mobile Elevated Working Platforms and Booms (Full training given). Be able to self-motivate, to achieve and deliver the highest engineering & safety standards possible. Due to the nature of the organisation, all employees of Serco are required to be security cleared to SC level. If successful in your application, we would support you with the SC process. As a guideline only, you would normally need to have been a UK resident for the last 5 consecutive years.
