About us
We are seeking dynamic and motivated individuals to join our Service Improvement team within the Policy & Improvement Service at Buckinghamshire Council. Our team plays a vital role in helping the Council achieve its strategic objectives by providing strategic support and driving high-quality change and transformation.
About the role
As a Service Improvement Officer, you will use your leadership and change management skills to deliver complex projects and change initiatives across the Council. You will be responsible for identifying and delivering improvements and efficiencies, scoping requirements, and supporting the design of appropriate solutions.
You’ll be part of a large team of Service Improvement Officers that support the delivery of key change initiatives across the vast array of Council services. The role can be varied and fast-paced and will involve working with senior leaders to enable high quality transformation across the organisation.
About you
We're looking for Service Improvement Officers who can make things happen. You'll be leading and managing complex projects and change initiatives across the Council, using your skills and experience in project management and business analysis.
You'll have expert knowledge of improvement methodologies, systems, policies and regulations, and you'll know how to apply them in a local government setting. You'll be a great communicator and collaborator, able to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders, act as a subject matter expert, and mentor and support other project team members. In addition, you'll be adaptable, able to see the big picture and cope with conflicting and changing demands, all while ensuring project outcomes are achieved on time, within budget and to the required standards.
