About the Company: Axon Moore are delighted to be working with a growing, PE backed business, to appoint an experienced, part-qualified Management Accountant. The business is thriving in a sector that’s flourishing and they are now looking forward impressive growth, trebling in size over the next few yearsReporting into the Group Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the month-end reporting across multiple entities, ensuring that ledgers are accurately updated and year end can be delivered to deadline. There will be some business partnering elements to the role, to ensure that each department has guidance and accurate information around spends and budgeting. Salary & Benefits: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE. Study support, 25 days holidays plus banks, flexible working hours, pension, employee discounts, private medical, plus other benefits available on request. What we are looking for you to do/key responsibilities: Produce the monthly management accounts, including variance analysis for multiple entities. Business partnering as the go to person for various departments, with communication and collaboration at the forefront. Liaise with budget holders to ensure budgets are set and forecasting is accurate. Maintain the balance sheet, performing reconciliations for various entities and the group including fixed assets, intercompany and WIP. Month end journals, accruals and prepayments. Monthly consolidation for reporting to group company. VAT returns as well as assisting with tax queries around corporation tax and CIS. Liaise with external auditors on annual audit and year end, addressing any queries in a timely manner and providing information in full. Continuous improvement of the finance function, looking at any inefficiencies and making improvements to systems. Ad-hoc analysis and duties as required. Professional qualification and competencies: Preferably 2 years’ experience in an SME and a similar management accounting role. CIMA/ACCA part qualified. Business partnering experience (beneficial). Experience with audit preparation and assisting with preparing draft accounts Solid knowledge of the workings of a Finance team, including best practice and working to strict deadlines. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Enthusiastic attitude to resolving issues, working collaboratively and independently.
