Role: Cyber Capability Manager
Location: London, Farringdon Road (Hybrid, 3 days in office)
As a Cyber Capability Manager at Royal Mail Group, you will be responsible for helping to transform Cyber Security activities across Royal Mail to continuously improve the Cyber Security of our products, data, and systems.
You will be joining us during an interesting time of change and growth within both Cyber and the wider technology function. Working in a relatively greenfield environment, you will be a key member of the Cyber function, with a critical responsibility for supporting and developing an ever-changing Business Transformation and Cyber Security programme.
You will be responsible for...
1. Providing subject matter expertise to support the development of a suite of Cyber Security policies and standards.
2. Writing and reviewing Cyber strategies and policies, particularly relating to Cloud and emerging risks, ensuring our Cyber Strategy is robust and relevant in an ever-changing technical environment.
3. Setting strategic direction of Cyber Security capabilities, to ensure Cyber and technology risk is managed in line with risk appetite to ensure products, solutions and platforms are designed, built, and deployed securely.
4. Overseeing the integration of security tools, standards, and processes into the product/software development lifecycle, enabling rapid innovation to meet ever-changing technical needs.
5. Develop effective working practices with suppliers for continuous improvement which seeks opportunities for improvement.
6. Keeping abreast of emerging threats and risks through regular networking and attending events.
Your Skills and Experience...
1. Extensive experience assessing and writing security strategies and policies.
2. Experience of Cyber Advisory and Risk, and leading business engagement for a Cyber function.
3. Knowledge and demonstrable experience of Cyber Security technologies and methods and high-level risk and controls identification.
4. Experience of creating security technology roadmaps for large organisations.
5. Experience of cloud systems and their architecture.
6. Knowledge and experience of project delivery and secure software development lifecycles.
7. A keen interest in keeping abreast of bleeding-edge technologies with a view on how these can present opportunities, risks, and challenges within Cyber and the broader Technology teams.
8. Awareness of Agile environments and practices.
9. Strong stakeholder management.
