The position would support projects throughout New York State and Northeast Region. The ideal candidate will possess the related technical skills and experience required to lead, support and execute environmental compliance and permitting projects; willingness to support and develop business development skills; and the interpersonal and communication skills to enhance existing client and regulator relationships.

You will join our Ramboll Environment & Health Department
As our new Environmental Compliance Consultant, you will be part of our interdisciplinary team in the Americas, engaging with other business and technical professionals. You will work with all levels of technical expertise, from entry level team members to members with decades of experience, many of whom are subject matter experts in their own fields. You will engage in a continual learning environment through coaching, mentoring, and on the job tasks.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:
* Experience and willingness to conduct and assist with various environmental regulatory compliance tasks such as preparation of environmental plans (i.e. SPCC, SWPPP, BMP), preparing permit applications (i.e., wastewater, air, etc.), conducting environmental compliance reviews, and preparing calculations for other environmental regulatory reports.
* Provide regular and consistent communications to clients, regulators and project team on key issues and developments.
* Maintain regular contact with clients and assist in developing proposals for compliance related work.
* Gain and share knowledge through participation in technical societies and/or attendance at internal and external programs, to a degree consistent with individual and divisional goals.
* Be a leader in our safety culture, ensuring that our employees work safely.

* Minimum B.S. degree in a relevant discipline (Environmental Engineering, or closely related discipline).
* 6+ years experience, with experience in consulting/compliance industry.
* Relevant certifications or ability and on track to pursue certifications a plus.
* Demonstrated knowledge of occupational environmental compliance regulations and industry best practices.
* Ability to travel locally approximately 15% per month. Travel is typically of short duration (combination of office, remote, in-plant) depending on project needs. Driver’s license and air travel required.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Knowledge and familiarity with federal and state environmental regulations. Ramboll will provide training in applicable environmental regulations as necessary.

At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annual base salary between $75,000 and $90,000. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, including experience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
