This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Chief of Staff team at Shawbrook, supporting continued evolution and delivery of our strategy. The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Committee, owning and co-ordinating key Group-wide strategic projects.
The Strategy Manager will support Executive members to deliver on the Group’s strategic priorities, including playing a key role in owning and delivering short to medium term process efficiencies and benefits. They will assist in key, often confidential, projects to support the Executive Committee.
Key attributes are flexibility, resilience, being self-sufficient and thriving in a fast-paced environment. They must be able to create compelling presentations, have good analytical skills and be comfortable working with colleagues at all levels. The candidate must have a good knowledge of the financial services industry and a keen interest in digital advancement and trends.
Key Role Responsibilities:
* Ownership and co-ordination of Group-wide strategic projects: prepare and input into ExCo and Board papers, mobilise new projects, follow up on agreed actions, and drive continued momentum.
* Insights and challenge: leverage digital and operational expertise to challenge business teams on their approach, helping to ensure that a consistent approach is being adopted across the organisation.
* Analytical support: work with Finance, HR and other teams to provide analysis to support strategic projects.
* Scaling our platform: Work with CEO and ExCo members to identify and deliver on opportunities to streamline processes and create efficiencies, helping to scale our platform to support our business growth objectives.
* Market insights: keep abreast of emerging market and digital trends and share insights to help ensure we stay ahead as an organisation.
* Strategy development and execution: work with Chief of Staff to support continued strategy evolution and implementation throughout the annual planning cycle.
* Communications: work with IR, marketing and internal communications teams to develop and deliver a consistent strategic narrative.
The Person
* Minimum 5 years’ professional experience within a similar function, ideally gained within a financial services or consultancy environment.
* Able to demonstrate a good knowledge of both Financial Services and Tech.
* Comfortable working with colleagues at all levels and able to demonstrate excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
* Advanced Excel and Powerpoint knowledge.
