About the role
We are looking to recruit a dedicated individual to work closely with one of our construction technicians, who requires additional support with their day-to-day work activities in the classroom, workshops, and other settings. The ideal candidate will be a supportive, well-organised, and nurturing individual who has natural people skills and a basic knowledge of construction activities. You will work closely with our team of 10 Construction technicians but specifically with one individual with neurodiversity and physical disabilities and will be required to undertake physical elements of the role including working at heights and using electrical power tools.
You will support our technician by sharing ideas and methods to help them organise their workload and carrying out basic practical tasks. The successful candidate will be passionate about helping people achieve their full potential and will assist our technician to support our staff and students to provide a high-quality teaching and learning experience across the department. Experience of working in a support capacity and a knowledge of construction are preferable.
