Location: Brighton
Working Hours: 5 days per week, 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Lunch: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM)
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience), with an annual salary review in March
Holiday: 25 days + bank/public holidays
Our client are a dynamic, progressive, and tech-driven practice offering an exciting opportunity to join their growing team. As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a vital role in providing a fast and efficient payroll service for their clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process payroll from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate payments
* Calculate part-months and holiday pay
* Manage statutory payments and process P45’s
* Communicate with clients to clarify calculations and resolve queries
* Administer client pension schemes, working with multiple providers
* Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
* Experience in data entry and record-keeping
* Proficiency in Excel
* Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Proactive problem-solving abilities
* Comfortable working with IT systems and payroll software (Sage, STAR)
* Well-organised, capable of multitasking and prioritisingtasks
* Minimum 5 GCSEs (A-C), including Maths and English
* Previous payroll function experience is essential
