Join our large and inspirational Adult Therapies Service at UHBW as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, where you will develop your career in line with the RCOT Career Framework!
This is an exciting cross-site rotational role where you will gain specialist skills and knowledge to help develop and guide you through your career.
Main duties of the job
Within this role, you will rotate across a variety of specialities and sites across both Bristol & Weston. These rotations include:
1. Trauma and Orthopaedics
2. Critical Care, Cardiac and Surgery
3. Older Person Therapy including Front Door
4. Stroke
5. Paediatrics
6. Oncology
During your rotation, you’ll be building relationships with new teams and adapting to new environments, all that offer unique benefits and incentives such as:

Knowledge and experience
* Experience of working as part of an Occupational Therapy team &/or multidisciplinary team
* Staff have completed a variety of rotations as a band 5
* Contributing to clinical education of less experienced staff, students or assistants
* Experience of discharge planning
* Previous experience at Band 6
* Clinical supervision of students & technician staff
* Experience or knowledge of working in an acute hospital setting/community setting
* Previous NHS experience
Skills and abilities
* Ability to work unsupervised
* Ability to plan, prioritise & delegate
* Demonstrate Assessment, Analytical & Reflective skills across a diverse patient group
* Ability to meet deadlines & work under pressure
* Ability to effectively perform patient assessments & interventions, including therapeutic handling

* Knowledge of clinical Governance & its application to Occupational Therapy

Qualifications and Training
* Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
* Health Professions Council registered
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
* Membership of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists

* Credible & mature attitude, which is recognised & respected by other staff
* Demonstrates a commitment to own professional development
