Maintenance Engineers – Electrical, Mechanical, Joiner and Systems
Full Time – 35 Hours per week
Current Annual Pay Package of up to £35,200 + On Call Allowance* for full time 35 hours per week.
Roles based at HMP Edinburgh receive an additional geographical allowance of £3,000 and roles based at HMP Grampian receive an additional geographical allowance of £1,500.
Exciting opportunities have arisen within the Scottish Prison Service for Maintenance Engineers with different trade backgrounds to work within the Estates Teams across various locations in Scotland. The posts are on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week.
The Maintenance Engineer – Electrical will support the Estates Management team in all aspects of Estates work to provide a comprehensive repairs and maintenance service for SP&N and TP&N distribution systems, including work to small power, inspection and testing, work to final circuits and lighting.
The Maintenance Engineer - Joiner will support the Estates Management team in all aspects of Estates work to provide a comprehensive repairs and maintenance service for all estate building maintenance fabric, installations, replacements and repairs. You will provide an effective and efficient service to ensure compliance with all statutory legislative requirements, industry guidelines and policy.
The Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical will support the Estates Management team in all aspects of Estates work to provide a comprehensive repairs and maintenance service for all mechanical systems and plant, for example plumbing, BEMS, heating and ventilation systems.
The Maintenance Engineer – Systems will support the Technical Manager in all aspects of Estates work. To provide a comprehensive repair, diagnostic, fault finding and maintenance service for the systems e.g. security systems, BEMS, networks, mechanical & electrical locking and key vending.
*There will be a requirement for you to periodically work on call hours, and you may need to travel to other establishments and areas.
