Job Title: Senior Engineer – Product Configuration & Change\n\nLocation: Glasgow, Bristol, or Broad Oak. We offer a range of hybrid and\nflexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the\noptions for this particular role.\n\nSalary: Circa £44,000 depending on skills and experience\n\n****\n\nWhat you’ll be doing:\n\n * Assisting in the co-ordination of the delivery of Canadian River Class Destroyer Configuration Management Capability\n * Co-ordinating the implementation of appropriate business rules and controls for each phase of the product lifecycle and ensuring the required level of reporting is delivered\n * Providing support for configuration management of 3D model lock down and archiving activities, whilst overseeing the configuration control of 3D model baselines\n * Supporting the Principal Engineer in maintaining the River Class Destroyer Configuration Management baselines\n * Aiding in the development of the programme baselines to include Functional Baselines, Allocated Baselines and Product Baselines\n * Developing, deploying, and governing of the Configuration Item (CI) strategy\n\nYour skills and experiences:\n\nEssential:\n\n * STEM Degree qualified\n * Experience in end-to-end engineering lifecycle with an understanding of the Configuration Management lifecycle\n * Proficient in using Product Data Management (PDM) Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems i.e. TeamCentre, or Windchill\n * Familiarity working with product baselines\n\nDesirable:\n\n * Exposure working within a comparablesimilar industry\n\nEngineers at all levels should possess an academic qualification in\nEngineering or other related STEM subjects as well as specific (either\nacademic or professional) qualifications and become recognised as Incorporated\nor Chartered Engineers through an appropriate recognised professional\ninstitution.
Engineers are encouraged, and will be supported, to achieve the\nrelevant accreditation. This role may give you the chance to travel\ninternationally as you work alongside our customer, allowing you to gain\nfurther exposure and to network.
