The Role:
We’re looking for an Insights Sales Manager to join us on a permanent basis.
You will be expected to be accountable for our total commercial performance across a designated set of categories and with direct accountability for sales to key strategic clients. You will build and execute a plan to target new logos and cross-sells, upsells and renewals to existing business. Furthermore, you will set up and enable your team to deliver against these sales targets and manage their roles accordingly.
Key Accountabilities:
* Accountable for sales targets and all commercial KPIs for your insights sales team
* Build and execute category sales strategy and go to market plan that engages the team in the areas and opportunities that will drive the biggest sales/growth/impact. Create and oversee client pipeline accordingly.
* Accurate sales forecasting (monthly, quarterly and annually) for renewals, new business and strategic insight projects
* Ensure effective continuously improving full B2B sales cycle through Lead Generation, Discovery, Qualification, Pitching, Negotiation and Close for clients, and to ensure that the team are upskilled in dh products, services and solutions in order to do this effectively
* Driving/Advocating sales excellence across the insight business including awareness of market trends, competitor knowledge, and identifying sales training needs
* Set individual targets and ensure regular, highly accurate forecasting of sales for your team for their respective areas by period, quarter and year
* Establish and build new strategic relationships to maximise growth potential by developing commercially valuable relationships at all levels.
* Understanding of CPG & Retailer needs to ensure a win/win value add sales approach.
* Power-of-2 relationship with Client Success counterparts in order to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and commercial performance
* Represent dunnhumby at industry events to increase our profile and work with marketing on account based plans to increase inbound sales qualified leads
* Manage risk effectively, provide visible and consistent leadership on our Values and Code of Business Conduct and act where you see issues. Protect our team by ensuring they have the skills and all training needed
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any subject
* Experience in leading and managing a team.
* Strong understanding of or prior experience in the Retail/CPG industry
* Strong knowledge and experience in b2b sales, preferably SaaS
