Facilities Manager
Role Description
Manage delivery of the planned & reactive maintenance providing a safe, clean, and secure environment at NI Water facilities.
The Facilities Manager will support the development of NIW as an organisation through consultation and research to create high quality and innovative options for improvements in the procurement, management and delivery of facilities and infrastructure to NIW.
The Facilities Manager will be accountable for all facilities management activities, lead and coordinate the effort of the various facilities management specialists supporting the Organization.
The Facilities Manager will ensure the correct environment is provided in order to ensure the safety and security of NIW staff, contractors and visitors.
Part of the Future Workplace Team, the role reports to the Facilities Senior Manager.
The Future Workplace function is responsible for delivering capital investment projects outwith core water/wastewater production lines, and providing facilities and estates management to c900 NI Water sites.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. A 3rd level qualification (e.g. Degree/ HND / HNC or equivalent) in a Facilities Management or Engineering discipline and a minimum of 1 years contract management experience
OR (in the absence of a 3rd level qualification):
A minimum of 2 years contract management experience.
2. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in managing significant facilities maintenance or construction projects.
3. At least 2 years demonstrable practical knowledge and experience of Health & Safety and Environmental legislation and practices; relevant to the Water Industry.
4. Demonstrable experience in successfully managing staff or external resources to deliver high quality outputs within tight timeframes.
5. Experience of Stakeholder management with excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships across NI Water and externally.
6. Proven experience in managing budgets.
7. Hold a full, current driving license or have access to a form of transport to enable you to fulfil your responsibilities.

Salary
This role offers a competitive remuneration package with a salary scale of £33,670 - £44,893 per annum (pay award pending).
The starting salary will normally be at the first point of the scale.
