The Marketing Strategy & Planning Team
Okta’s Marketing Strategy & Planning function drives the Marketing strategy formation and planning motion to optimize marketing performance, deliver a strong return on investment and achieve our company objectives.
Manager, Marketing Strategy & Planning - EMEA Field Marketing
Reporting to the Snr Director, Marketing Strategy & Operations this role will act as a strategic partner to our EMEA Field Marketing leadership team. This role would work very closely with our Marketing Analytics, Finance, xDR and Field Marketing teams, and involves a mix of planning, creative thinking and data-driven decision making. As a key partner to the EMEA Field Marketing team, this role will ensure the Field Marketing operations are coordinated and cohesive, and supports our company objectives. You will act as a liaison between Field Marketing and the wider GTM teams.
What you’ll be doing
* Assist the EMEA Field Marketing team to analyze program performance and develop recommendations on operational improvements and ways to drive effectiveness across the team.
* Leverage our BI tools to track and monitor performance against plan and regularly inform stakeholders of deep analytical insight. Proactively identify opportunities and use data driven insights to prioritize initiatives to drive the business forward.
* Partner closely with Finance and Field Marketing to build and own budget management, including annual and quarterly planning. Ensure accuracy in forecasting, correct utilization of funds and proactive reporting to leadership to ensure team are within budget.
* Partner closely with Procurement to ensure Field Marketing contracts are executed on time. Streamline communication and workflow between the departments.
* Play a key role in driving complex, cross-functional, global Field Marketing initiatives. Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope and budget. Own communication and proactive updates on progress against plan.
* Partner closely with the Marketing Analytics team to ensure data accuracy in reporting. Work with Field Marketing leaders to define business requirements for new dashboard builds and dashboard innovation.
* Implement and maintain processes and tool usage to maximize Field Marketing operations productivity and cross functional alignment. SME for Asana, own the adoption and enablement for Field Marketing, ensure accuracy in data.
* Drive operational rigor and process improvements. Proactive, timely communication with Field Marketing stakeholders. Ensure team meet quarterly planning cycle, business reviews (QBRs) and monthly demand generation interlock deadlines.
* Work closely with the wider Strategy & Planning team, as well as cross functionally to identify trends, business opportunities and process improvements.
What you’ll bring to the role
* 8+ years of relevant professional experience in Marketing Strategy & Planning, Field Marketing, Marketing Analytics or a similar role at a B2B, SaaS company.
* 6+ years in managing Marketing budgets and resource allocation.
* Asana and SFDC power user.
* Strong understanding of key drivers of business and marketing strategy (pipeline and revenue analytics, investment ratios, funnel metrics, martech foundation).
* Strong analytical skills, performance data analysis, identifying trends and measure impact.
* Proven experience in supporting execution within a high growth, global company.
* Exceptional structured thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Proven ability to collaborate effectively across functionally and geographically distributed teams.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* BS/BA or equivalent required.
