We house residents within the building, so there is rarely ever a dull moment; the remit is varied and requires an effective and organised approach together with a friendly and helpful manner.
A key aspect of the role is to ensure that the initial referrals are assessed and vetted to meet the suitability criteria for the hostel and updating the database accordingly. You will be responsible for building good professional relationships with relevant contacts of councils and charities across London and outer London.
Your goal will be to ensure that Lea Bridge reception offers a customer-focused service, which includes the logging of repairs and helping customers with any queries they may have. You will be responsible for monitoring the security systems of the building & our residents through building control systems.
You will be responsible for keeping a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. You will work alongside a small housing and maintenance team and assist with administrative duties and tasks for the scheme. You will report directly to the Hostel Team Leader and work within a small team of six day-staff and evening and weekend security guards.
Location: We are located in Leyton E10 7EB and have an onsite car park, which is free for staff. The nearest tube station Walthamstow Centre is a 20 minutes’ walk. A short bus ride from Leytonstone and Leyton tube station.
About you: You should be passionate about people, a good listener with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A team player who is friendly and professional who will provide an efficient and effective receptionist and referral support service.
