Primary Care Doncaster Ltd is developing a wide range of services to support general practice across the city and is looking at innovative ways to develop its workforce. We are looking to recruit a Nursing Associate who will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a patient-facing role in the Doncaster Primary Care Networks. Doncaster has six Primary Care Networks: Central, East, North, North West, South, and 4Doncaster.
This post will be based at The Flying Scotsman within the Central Primary Care Network and may involve working at other Practices across the Primary Care Network.
You should have completed a Nursing Associate Degree with an approved provider and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Nursing Associate. Previous experience in a Primary Care setting would be an advantage.
You will undertake various duties including:
1. Monitoring and support of the management of patients with long-term conditions/chronic diseases, using a holistic patient-centered approach.
2. Support patients to improve and maintain their mental and physical health and wellbeing.
3. Provide support and supervision to training nursing associates, healthcare assistants, apprentices, and those on learning assignments/placements as required.
4. Advise patients on general healthcare, promote self-management where appropriate, including signposting patients to relevant healthcare services.
5. Perform and record clinical observations such as blood pressure, temperature, respirations, and pulse as set out in the NMC Standards for Nursing Associates.
