Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Salary: £25,015.20 - £27,302.30 (FTE £29,120.00 - £31,782.40)
Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week, Term-Time Only
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. If you are enthusiastic about making a positive difference in the lives of young people with additional learning needs, this role could be the perfect fit for you.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide learning and emotional support to students, helping them realize their full potential.
2. Assist in delivering stimulating learning activities under the teacher's guidance, contributing to a balanced curriculum.
3. Establish supportive relationships with students to create a safe and engaging learning environment.
4. Monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to aid their personal and academic development.
5. Ensure safeguarding and student welfare standards are maintained in line with school policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher.
2. GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or 4 and above).
3. Prior experience working with SEN, SLD/PMLD, ADHD, and ASD is highly advantageous.
4. Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
5. Experience in managing challenging behaviours and promoting an inclusive learning environment.
