This role is in place to help the service with the delivery of the overarching aims working with the external funder, Arts Council England. In 2023 Gloucestershire Libraries were awarded National Portfolio Organisation status with the main aim to engage with audience development (data), income generation, event delivery, partnership building and promotion of the library service. The main project the Customer Development Coordinators will work on in 2025 is The Library Challenge which happens across the summer months, this year\\\'s theme being \\\'The Natural World\\\'. Overall there are three Customer Development Coordinator posts appointed to work across the county to support the 32 buildings. These posts are split into three geographical areas: Gloucester & The Forest of Dean, Stround & The Cotswolds and Cheltenham & Tewkesbury. The roles will work within the overarching development team as well as embedding themselves within the local teams. About You The successful candidate will need some base knowledge and skills around promotion and communication skills (both internal and external). The main aim is for the individual to creatively drive engagement to under engaged audiences, using data and analysics to target and build partners to encourage use of library services. Due to the need to work from multiple sites the successful candidate will need to be able to travel around the county. There is also a requirement for weekend and evening working.
