Job Description
The Senior Program Manager will lead complex projects and manage multiple programs, ensuring on-time delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction. This role will have high visibility within the organization and will be responsible for overseeing the program and managing relationships with strategic clients, and driving program success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage high-priority programs involving cutting-edge technology across multiple locations.
* Serve as the primary point of contact with strategic customers, ensuring strong relationships and successful program delivery.
* Collaborate with engineering, R&D, operations, and sales teams to align program goals with company objectives and customer needs.
* Oversee the bid and proposal process, shaping strategy and driving improvements in how bids are managed across the organization.
* Support proposals for capturing new programs and contract change proposals.
* Address performance issues within teams, implement corrective actions, and drive efficiency to improve program outcomes.
* Manage program budgets, track performance against financial goals, and ensure return on investment aligns with broader business objectives.
* Contribute to strategic decisions around restructuring and growing the program management function.
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align program goals, share progress, and solve complex challenges.
* Implement continuous improvement activities.
* Support in accurate forecasting of quarterly revenue and cash flow.
* Define technical scope, capability, and details of program requirements, customer needs, and deliverables.
* Obtain and manage the necessary cross-functional resources across the account portfolio of programs. Maximize corporate resource utilization.
* Identify and resolve critical issues, such as product delivery delays and changes to customer requirements, to ensure customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications:
* Minimum 10+ years of program management experience in aerospace, defense, or a closely related high-tech industry. Proven track record of successfully leading programs valued at $20 million or more annually.
* Familiarity with defense technology systems, including avionics, radar systems, secure communication technologies, and defense manufacturing processes.
* Demonstrated success in managing relationships with high-profile customers, with a particular focus on relationship-building and managing complex programs.
* Strong understanding of program financials (cost, revenue, margin) and impact on business unit goals, budgeting, ROI, and R&D management, with a strategic mindset to drive business growth.
* Proven ability to navigate complexity, manage multiple priorities, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; Master’s Degree (MBA or MS Management) preferred.
* Due to the nature of work, security clearance or eligibility for clearance is required.
